New Job!

Sorry I havent been on here in a LOOONNGG time! I have been so busy with my new job. For the first week and a half before the kids came we had meetings ALL day! Then this past Monday school started and volleyball season started as well (which I am coaching). The first week of school was OK. It was pretty boring because we had to go through all the rules and consquences. This week we will be able to start playing games. Im looking forward to it. Im also excited about my new job because I get to grow my nails out! YAY! I havent had nails in 4 years (that's how long I did massage).
Also, Zach started his new/old job last Monday. He is in the same field he just went back to a previous employer. He is excited because there are new people to work with and it is a better company than his previous one.

Time Flies!!!

Wow! Can you believe the summer is almost over? Where has the time gone? Well, just to update everyone on mine and my other half's life......Zach has been really busy with work. He likes to play softball with some church friends, go to the movies (he has to have a large mr. pibb and a large popcorn...never fails), workout, go to the deer lease, mudding on the four wheeler, oh and yes...SURFING! There has been a lot more surf from the hurricane coming through. He loves hurricane season.

Jenn- I am job hunting and that is what I have been doing pretty much ALL summer. I have been working, but now that Im not in school and pay back for my student loans are coming I really feel the pressure to get a job. I have had a lot of blessings as far as opportunity for jobs. The Lord has blessed me with 2 really good jobs, but im holding out for this one I really want. Also, Andi, my old roommate from college got to come down for a visit. We went shopping, toured the Blue Bell Factory (yes, we got ice cream afterwards), visited some antique shops, went to Kemah, the Natural Science Museum....It was so nice to visit with her. We had a lot of fun.

In some of the pics to follow you can see that we have a new neighbor....a DOVE! She has some eggs in there and all she does all day is sit on them. :) She is very pretty up close.

Also, at the beginning of the summer Zach and I re-did out flower bed. It was hideous. I have been wanting a new one for years. I think it turned out pretty well.

Catch up!

So, as you can tell I have neglected my blog for the last couple of months. A lot has happened. First, I graduated from UH with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology-Wellness/Fitness. I was awarded "Student of the Year" for my department in Health and Human Performance. I was able to graduate Magna Cum Laude. Also, I just received my teaching cert. to be able to teach. I want to be a P.E. teacher. I hope to get a teaching job soon. KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS! Zach's work is going really well. He is getting so much business; the company does not have enough supplies for the demand.

A couple of weeks ago I painted our bedroom. Our previous attendants painted it a mid-night blue. It was not our style and it was too dark. So, I painted it a pastel yellow. It makes the room so much bigger and brighter. We like it. I plan on blowing up bluebonnet pics from our trip to put on the walls. IT took me 10 hours to paint. I had to use 2 cans of Kilz and 2 cans of paint. I was EXHAUSTED!

In April, Zach and I went to Brenham, Tx with our good friends Nat and Ry. We took pics in the bluebonnets, went to an antique store, and ate lunch at a mom and pop restaurant called R's place. They have some good BBQ.

In March, I got to go to the Houston Rodeo and see Kenny Chesney (with my mom, julia, and mother in law) and Jason Aldean (girls night). It was a lot of fun. I always enjoy going.

In February, Zach took me to a restaurant called Rainbow Lodge. It was so good. The menu had wild game on it. We had a 4 course meal. I have Elk and Zach had Lamb and Ostrich. VERY GOOD!

Hey guys,
Sorry that I havent put a blog up here in a while. Things have been really busy for me. Im going to school full time, working part time, i'm still in the Young Women's program and I have a husband that I need to make time for as well. I have alot of pics to put up here and alot of fun things that have been going on and when I get a breather I will post some of them.

Birthday weekend

MY birthday was on last monday, feb. 1. That friday Zach and I went to Logan's Roadhouse and then to see "When in Rome." I thought it was a cute movie but we heard it got bad reviews. Anyways, then on Sat. we had some friends over for food and hanging out. Sunday was the family dinner party. On monday, I had a busy day. I took Kitty (which is our new cat) to the vet, paid bills, did homework, and went shopping. It was an eventful weekend.

So, yes we have a new cat. My mother-in-laws work owns camp sites all over the U.S. and at one of them the camp director found this cat that someone had dumped off. She said they were going to end up putting it to sleep if they could not find a home for it. I love cats and Zach knew that so he suprised me with this cat. She is a Calico cat and she is about 4 yrs old (so the vet says). I named her Kitty because that is all she comes to. She is a really laid back cat and very beautiful. She doesnt get up on furniture unless we call her up. She stays in our room under our bed most of the time. These past couple of days she has started to come out more to explore the house. We tried introducing her and Dillinger and she was not too happy about that. Anyways, we are glad to have Kitty as part of our family!!!

Christmas Season!!!

This Christmas was a good one for Zach and I. We had a lot of family come into town to visit. It is always a good time when family comes to visit. For Christmas Eve, Zach and I spent that evening with his family. We had alot of food, read the birth of Christ from Luke 2, and played games. It was fun! For Christmas day, we went to my parents to open presents in the morning and then to my sister's house that day for Christmas dinner. Later that day Zach went to the deer lease for a relaxing weekend of hunting. I would have gone with him but my college vball friends were in town and we got togeter the day after Christmas. I hadnt seen them in a couple of years so it was nice to reunite with them.

For New Year's Eve, Zach had to work at the hotel. I went up there for a couple of hours. I was going to bring him dinner but when I got up there they had already ordered pizza. So, I went over my parents to watch a movie with them. New Year's Day we had family over to play games and to hang out.
