Catch up!

So, as you can tell I have neglected my blog for the last couple of months. A lot has happened. First, I graduated from UH with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology-Wellness/Fitness. I was awarded "Student of the Year" for my department in Health and Human Performance. I was able to graduate Magna Cum Laude. Also, I just received my teaching cert. to be able to teach. I want to be a P.E. teacher. I hope to get a teaching job soon. KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS! Zach's work is going really well. He is getting so much business; the company does not have enough supplies for the demand.

A couple of weeks ago I painted our bedroom. Our previous attendants painted it a mid-night blue. It was not our style and it was too dark. So, I painted it a pastel yellow. It makes the room so much bigger and brighter. We like it. I plan on blowing up bluebonnet pics from our trip to put on the walls. IT took me 10 hours to paint. I had to use 2 cans of Kilz and 2 cans of paint. I was EXHAUSTED!

In April, Zach and I went to Brenham, Tx with our good friends Nat and Ry. We took pics in the bluebonnets, went to an antique store, and ate lunch at a mom and pop restaurant called R's place. They have some good BBQ.

In March, I got to go to the Houston Rodeo and see Kenny Chesney (with my mom, julia, and mother in law) and Jason Aldean (girls night). It was a lot of fun. I always enjoy going.

In February, Zach took me to a restaurant called Rainbow Lodge. It was so good. The menu had wild game on it. We had a 4 course meal. I have Elk and Zach had Lamb and Ostrich. VERY GOOD!

Hey guys,
Sorry that I havent put a blog up here in a while. Things have been really busy for me. Im going to school full time, working part time, i'm still in the Young Women's program and I have a husband that I need to make time for as well. I have alot of pics to put up here and alot of fun things that have been going on and when I get a breather I will post some of them.

Birthday weekend

MY birthday was on last monday, feb. 1. That friday Zach and I went to Logan's Roadhouse and then to see "When in Rome." I thought it was a cute movie but we heard it got bad reviews. Anyways, then on Sat. we had some friends over for food and hanging out. Sunday was the family dinner party. On monday, I had a busy day. I took Kitty (which is our new cat) to the vet, paid bills, did homework, and went shopping. It was an eventful weekend.

So, yes we have a new cat. My mother-in-laws work owns camp sites all over the U.S. and at one of them the camp director found this cat that someone had dumped off. She said they were going to end up putting it to sleep if they could not find a home for it. I love cats and Zach knew that so he suprised me with this cat. She is a Calico cat and she is about 4 yrs old (so the vet says). I named her Kitty because that is all she comes to. She is a really laid back cat and very beautiful. She doesnt get up on furniture unless we call her up. She stays in our room under our bed most of the time. These past couple of days she has started to come out more to explore the house. We tried introducing her and Dillinger and she was not too happy about that. Anyways, we are glad to have Kitty as part of our family!!!

Christmas Season!!!

This Christmas was a good one for Zach and I. We had a lot of family come into town to visit. It is always a good time when family comes to visit. For Christmas Eve, Zach and I spent that evening with his family. We had alot of food, read the birth of Christ from Luke 2, and played games. It was fun! For Christmas day, we went to my parents to open presents in the morning and then to my sister's house that day for Christmas dinner. Later that day Zach went to the deer lease for a relaxing weekend of hunting. I would have gone with him but my college vball friends were in town and we got togeter the day after Christmas. I hadnt seen them in a couple of years so it was nice to reunite with them.

For New Year's Eve, Zach had to work at the hotel. I went up there for a couple of hours. I was going to bring him dinner but when I got up there they had already ordered pizza. So, I went over my parents to watch a movie with them. New Year's Day we had family over to play games and to hang out.

Update...

Wow....It have been a while since the last time I wrote on here. Things have been crazy this past month. The semester was coming to an end which meant FINALS! We moved back into our house that we were renting out. Then the holidays are here and Ive been working alot more because we have a lot bigger house payment.
Zach has not been really busy with work. He says at this time of year there arent alot of jobs happening. During the holiday season he is going to work the weekends at the hotel he used to work at. That will give him some extra sepending money.
Well, I dont have any cool pics to put up here but Im sure after the holidays I will.

Halloween

This Halloween was an eventful one for Zach and I. We went to 4 parties. We did have 5 to go to, but we had to cancel on one because there was no way we could have made them all. So, the week before Halloween we went to Joe and Cherise's party and won best costume. Then, the Firday before Halloween were going to go to 3 parties in one night but that is when we had to cancel on party. So, we just went to our cousin's house and then headed over to Kris and Sarah's house. On Halloween day we went over another couple friends of ours and there we won best costume as well. So, we had a good Halloween experience and loved to dress up in our costumes.

3rd Anniversary

Our anniversary this year fell on a Wed. so we went for our favorite food which is sushi! Afterwards we had marble slab ice cream. YUM!

I know, I know I am late putting these pics up. Anyways, here are some pics of mine and Zach's 3 year anniversary. I cannot believe how time flies. It seems like we were just celebrating our 1 year anniversary. There have been many ups and downs over the last 3 yrs. as all realationships have, but I am so glad to say that there are many more ups then there are downs. I have such a wonderful husband and Im so excited that we have an eternal marriage.

Zach planned the whole weekend out. He said that the reason why he did all these extravagant things was because I tell him that he is not romantic. Well, after this weekend I would say that he does have a romantic side.

So, I knew Zach was planning something and he told me just to pack my bags and that we would go on a spontaneous vacation after we ate dinner at "The Steakhouse" in the San Luis hotel in Galveston. So, after we ate he wanted to "show me around the hotel." So we go up to a room and when we walk in there are rose petals and chocolates on the bed. I was so suprised. I knew then that we would be staying at this hotel. Zach had booked that room for 2 nights. So, the next morning he told me that we needed to be at the hotel by 11am because he had another trick up his sleeves. So 11am comes around and there is a knock on the door so I opened it and there are 2 massage therapists. Zach had ordered an in-room couples massage. It was so nice because I was in need of a massage. Later that night we went to eat at Saltgrass and then for a walk on "The Strand." It was nice to walk and to see all the historical buildings and shops. The weekend was such a great suprise and we had a good time!!!

We had a really good dinner. I ordered lobster and Zach had steak. Since Zach knew some of the ppl that worked there we got a free shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and we got our dessert for free. We had chocolate cheesecake and a berries and creme thing. It was really good and they suprised us by writing on the plate.

I was in heaven when I walked into this place. It is called La King's Oldfashioned Ice Cream Parlor. It was like a 50's ice cream parlor. On the other side is this pic. It is a wall full of candy. Alot of candy was there that I used to eat when I was little. YUMMY!

In another chocolate store there were these candy apples. They looked soo good. I didnt get one so i had to aleast take a pic so I can droole over them.
