GOLF

So, I am taking a golf class at UH and so I'm really excited about playing golf. Im really excited because now I can go with Zach to play. Last Saturday Zach and I decided to go hit 9 holes. It was alot of fun even though Im not very good. I do pretty good at school, but when I was playing with Zach I did terrible. The funny part is that on the first hole there in a pond just in front of the T-box (I call it the launch pad, but whatever). Well, I was really nervous because everyone was watching me and so I go to hit and my ball goes about 10 ft. and falls into the pond. So, I get another ball and it does the same thing. I ended up just driving in the golf cart to the hole and dropping my ball on the green so I could putt it in. I had to do that several times thoughout the game. But, Im learning and it was fun to just be with Zach. We have so much fun together and enjoy every second we have with each other. Im hoping one day though that I will get good enough to beat Zach. That will be the day!

Diesel Performance Shop

Many of you know, but for those of you that dont know, Zach just became a co-owner of a diesel performance shop. He LOVES it. He is able to work with his hands and that is what he loves to do. He still has his regular job. He is just getting into this and will not leave his other job for a while until the diesel company picks up. He is in the process of building a website for it and they are hoping that once the website is done, business will pick up. Here are a few pics of Zach working on his truck and of him standing next to his friends truck. On the truck they have 50" tires, a 47" lift and it stands at about 10 ft. high. This truck it HUGE!

Heart Cakes.....Yummy!!

For Valentine's Day I made these heart cakes for the other ladies that I work with in the Young Women's program. They turned out really cute. I saw a heart cut-out at Wal-Mart and wanted to make cakes with it and decorate them. So, I baked a cake and cut it into hearts and then frosted it. It was alot of fun. I would like to take a cake decorating class. However, I do not have the time right now.

Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day, Zach got me a bouquet of red tulips. They were gorgeous. I didnt know much about tulips until he got them for me and I found out that they do not live for very long. The bouquet Zach got me for my birthday 2 weeks earlier were still alive when the tulips were dying. It was crazy! Anyways, so that evening me, Zach, Ryan, and Nat all went to eat at Texas Roadhouse. They had this thing where you could call in an hour before you arrive and they will have your table ready. I think you can even order an appetizer over the phone to be ready for you when you walk it. We didnt have to wait at all. It was nice. Then, we wanted to see a movie. Well, when we got to the movies the show we wanted to see was sold out. So, we just ended up going over Ryan and Nat's house and watching a movie over there and just hanging out. It was a nice night. The weather could have been better as well. It was raining throughout the day and that night it was drizzling. I did not take any pics of the evening though. I just thought I would tell yall what we did and that we had a nice evening with each other and with Ryan and Natalie.

MY BIRTHDAY!

So, Super Bowl Sunday was my birthday. Yup, that would be Feb. 1st. I celebrated all weekend though. It was nice. Mom said I was acting like Gma Gola because Gma Gola celebrates her b-day all month long. :) Anyways, Friday Zach took me to a resturant called the Melting Pot. So, as we walk up to our table and there is a dozen roses and a card waiting for me on the table. What a pleasant surprise. The resturant was very romantic, but somewhat casual. The whole experience takes about 2 hours. It is a 4 course meal and it is basically a fondue type of meal. The first part is a cheese fondue that you can dip multiple things into. Then a salad. Then, a broth that you choose and with that broth they give you a plate of raw meat(that you choose) and you skewer it and put it into the boiling broth and it cooks. Then, you choose a chocolate and they give you multiple things to dip into the chocolate. It was the best resturant I have ever been to in my whole life and to share that with Zach just topped it off. If you have not gone you need to. It is expensive, but the experience was so fun.
Then, on Sat. we had my nephew's baptism and then a 3 way birthday afterwards for me and 2 of my nephews. We ate and played games. It was fun.

Then, on Sunday I went over to my in-laws house and my mother-in-law made me an awesome dinner. So, overall I had a GREAT birthday.
